Honestly, First time I heard dude was on a mixtape my long time homie since grade school gave me...Who in return told me the dude rapping was his lil brother and I should give him some tracks...up until that moment I had never heard of dude before, and really hate when cats rap over already established beats, buuut...
I took a listen and dude had BARS...the track that caught me was a track about him tryna catch fame battling different Westchester artist and even one I grew up producing for named Yadi. I felt like he wasnt as confident as most rappers I knew but he was spitting hard...very lyrical.
So after meeting him, I see how the confidence level was niched into a physical form because he was extremly humble. Although very vocal about his tribulations as a rapper, he still is the dopest "get hit by a bus rapper" that i know LOL. Fast Forward to now, He contiues to suprise me with his lyrical abilities as he climbs the ranks of tryna be heard in large depth of west coast rappers. I currently have a couple tracks in wait for his next project and he also is featured on Def Sound's (not Def sounds lol{insider}) "Out of this world track" prod by Rose, as well as Def being on a track for his project produced by me! SO be on the Look!

One of My Favorite rappers & low key sangers (ima call him a sanger instead of singer cuz he got that soulfunk type singing voice, and when country folks say, "he can sing" , it really sound like they saying, "he can sang". Same goes for Wings (see Maxwell adlibs on "Pretty Wings")

Low key if there was a category for it, i'd put him in a Cee Lo catergory, just super underground. Highly underated and still knocking out joints..his latest album was proally my fave.

No offense, To all you Pulp fiction, Dusk till dawn lovers, but ive never liked a Tarantino movie, outside of Jackie Brown or Kill Bill 1..I know that may ruffle some feathers but I just dont find anything really jaw dropping about his movies...maybe cuz ima spike fan...I think its crazy some people overlook Spike Lee along the lines of Good Directors.....Malcolm X?..25th hour? She Hate me? (If you never seen the last 1, wow, its a sleeper of a story)....only 1 i can say i didnt truly care for was Miracle at St Ana, i just felt it kind of dragged a lil, but i did like the twist at the end...See Spike's Movies have twist and messages...and jazzy orchestra's and gripping stories(He Got game)..When I see Tarantino's movies, I just see lots of blood..so idk, maybe im wrong...Tell me what makes Quentin's movies have over Spike's?

I just wanna 1st of all say, sampling is a form of art in music. Although most may assume its just stealing or jacking loops....I wanna explain, it takes creativity to reconstruct ideas from bits and pieces, even if it is from a previous project. #1 Actually finding the sample is one of the most essential parts, because ur finding the groove and melody, (Which sometimes is popular,see"Gold Digger", and sometimes not) next is adding the DRUMS...for me, if i sample, i want my drums to either match the sample or bring it out, ie horns and so forth. Basslines and other instruments that get replayed after also includes creativity, because now ur taking that piece and taking it up a notch. So give Ye his credit, as he say's he "brough back the soul".

Another sad day in Hip Hop happened Last Saturday Morning...R.I.P. Baatin - this is one of the first/finest underground albums I have purchased. This album has a few different releases, this is the first bootleg version, not the retail, so i not sure about the difference in tracklist. SV is Jay Dee, T3, and Baatin. Though all the bars arent exactly what I would call up, this was a pivotal release in hip-hop, change its path, and also created that new SV sound and putting Detroit on the underground map...This is always a 0 before there is The One. All you new Hip Hoppers get Familiar!
